Happy Twenty-Something is a Sofia-based lifestyle blog for twenty-somethings learning life while enjoying a good cup of cappuccino and a gosh darn yummy brunch.

Hey, there! Thanks for browsing around my blog for twenty-somethings.

My name is Iliyana and I’m a Bulgarian city-girl. I’m a poetry author and an Instagram blogger.  I talk (openly and frankly) about the struggles and the charms of being a twenty-something. Plus, I’m a bit of addict when it comes to minimalist jewelry. Oh, and cozy cafés where you can enjoy a stunning coffee, heavenly desserts, your boyfriend’s company or just a good book.

Raison d’être

(or the reason why this blog for twenty-somethings should exist)

What I’m trying to achieve with my Happy Twenty-Something blog is to create a bright, positive, happy virtual space for twenty-somethings. An open space where people like you and me, people in their early 20s can find some motivation to fight their own battles, while reading about mine. I’ve had a difficult time when it comes to my personal relationships, when it comes to accepting who I am or even when it comes to finding my career path. In these hardships, I’ve discovered some life lessons that I want to share with you. You may see them as inspiring or naïve—what matters is, my writing will get you thinking.A post shared by iliyana | poetry & blog author (@twentysomethingslife) on

I’m not here to teach you how to live. All I’m doing is, learning how to become the woman I’ve always wanted to be and how to cope with all of these adult stuff happening meanwhile. The early 20s can be quite a hard period. I want you to see that yes, building a fabulous life for yourself might be terrifying and that’s okay. While it might be difficult, pursuing your purpose is worth the effort. Everything is possible with a positive mindset, proper self care and doing the best you’re capable of. This is the message my blog for twenty-somethings spreads around.
